The New York bar exam results for February 2022 have been released.

3,068 candidates sat for the New York exam. 1,610 of those candidates were repeat takers. Over half of the candidates sitting for the bar exam were repeat takers. Repeat takers accounted for 53% of all candidates who sat for the bar exam. 

The passing rate for the repeat taker was only 30%. Conversely, that means that 70% of the repeat takers who sat for the February 2022 New York bar exam failed the bar exam. Over a 1,000 repeat takers failed the bar exam. In addition, 69% of first time takers passed the bar exam, leaving 31% of the first time takers who did not pass; that 31% who failed the exam are now repeat takers for the July 2022 bar exam. The amount of repeat takes who fail the bar exam are shocking.

The July 2022 statistics will tell us that at least half, if not more, students who sit for the bar exam will be repeat takers. And, unless repeat takers get help, they will again be a statistic that shows repeat takers failing the UBE bar exam in record numbers. The question a repeat taker must ask is whether they want to continue to be one of    the 70% of the students who fail the bar exam. Repeat takers must get help now.
